Set up by four trustees, we lost our much-loved colleague, Patricia Liddiard, in January 2025. She was instrumental in formulating and helping to secure funding for Transforming People’s Lives. She had a clear vision for the charity from the outset.
Determined to do that vision justice, the remaining three trustees – Peter Caton, Christine Caton and Rob Mathison continue the good work, doing all they can to help as many people as possible.
As part of our vision, we focus on five areas:
Mental health and wellbeing
Supporting and encouraging those struggling to maintain good mental health and overall wellbeing.

Our inspiration
We wanted to help people in need from all areas of society.
We also wanted to be able to make donations quickly. We believe in making donations when monies are available, whether from donors directly or from the endowment fund when appropriate, to utilise the investment performance, ensuring the charity is sustainable but also giving gifts on an ongoing basis.
We are proud to have donated over £42,000 in the past 3 years alone.
