At Transforming People’s Lives, we are extremely proud to support the following charities:

Teen Challenge

Teen Challenge UK is a registered charity that operates nationally to help young people who have developed life controlling problems, particularly drug and alcohol addictions. They also offer preventative help to those who are potentially in danger of doing so.

Established in 1968, the charity has fifteen locations throughout the UK. Teen Challenge London and Teen Challenge Strathclyde grew out of Teen Challenge UK and are now affiliated works.

The charity is built on and driven by Christian values and beliefs. Its goal is to help people become mentally sound, physically well, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted and spiritually alive.

The Falconer Trust is a UK-based charity, formed in 1980 to support the work of the Falconer Children's Home and Orphanage, situated at Kabulamema, North-West Province of Zambia.

Educare Fund

The aim of Educare Fund is to support the education of young women at secondary school level in Lesotho (Southern Africa).

While government funding is available for primary and higher education in this country for orphans, as a priority, many kids don’t fully qualify for them.

Secondary education mostly must be paid for by parents. It’s relatively expensive, and many girls from poorer families don’t get past this level of education, let alone reach university.

The challenges that lead to girls dropping out of education early are often due to family poverty.

Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme

Our latest partner is the Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme, addressing TPL’s focus area or Art & Disability. Our donation will support a child with Hemiplegia, a weakness in one side of the body (in this case, predominantly the hand). Breathe runs an annual programme, using highly specialist occupational therapists and Magic Circle magicians to provide therapy in a group setting with one-to-one support, delivering interventions tailored to suit each young person’s particular strengths and needs. The programme culminates in a Magic Show that showcases how the children have learned to use both hands to perform tricks, skills they transfer to other areas and increasing their independence, and their confidence. Up to 92% of the children show clinically significant improvements in hand function after the Breathe Magic camp. Follow ups show that they maintain those skills and some adults who participated as children now act as mentors for those coming along now.
